　　【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverconcentratorphotovoltaic(CPV)modulesandassembliesthatconcentratelightonatargetPVcell(s)foruseingeneralandrestrictedareasinaccordancewiththeunit’sinstallationinstructions.ACPVmodlueisdefinedasanyphotovoltaicmodulewhichusesartificiallyelevatedlevels(i.e.concentrated)ofsolarirradiancetoproduceelectricalenergy.1.2Theserequirementsaddressconcentratorphotovoltaic(CPV)modulesandassembliesintendedforinstallationinaccordancewiththeirinstallationinstructionsonorintegralwithbuildings,ortobefreestanding(i.e.groundmountedorotherwisenotattachedtobuildings),inaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70,andmodelbuildingcodes.1.3TheinstallationclassforCPVmodulesandassembliesidentifiestheintendedinstallationlocationaseithergeneralaccessareasdesignated“General,”orrestrictedaccessareasdesignated“Restricted.”Generalaccessunitsareabletobeinstalledinopenareasthatmaybecontactedbythegeneralpublic.Restrictedaccessunitsaretobeinstalledinareasthatpreventgeneralpublicaccesssuchasalockedandfencedinarea.1.4TheserequirementscoverCPVmodulesandassembliesintendedforuseinsystemswithamaximumsystemvoltageof1500V.Exception:CPVmodulesthatareconstructedintheflateplatemoduleformatasdefinedbytheStandardforFlat-PlatePhotovoltaicModulesandPanels,UL1703,andwithaconcentrationratioofnomorethan2timesshallbeevaluatedinaccordancewithalloftherequirementsinUL1703.
