As of May 11, 2015 the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is adding Bisphenol A (BPA) to the list of chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity, also known as the list of Proposition 65 chemicals. BPA is chemical used primarily to make polycarbonate and epoxy resins. BPA was previously listed and subsequently delisted in April of 2013 from the list of Proposition 65 chemicals. .
Proposition 65 enforcement actions involving products containing BPA cannot be initiated until May 11, 2016.
